

Apparently something in firewall started blocking it and that made it stuck, disabling the firewall made it finally work. Hopefully this will at least give me some new ideas to try.Įdit: So I found out that after trying to end the process it finally does so after cca 5 minutes (and yes I was bored enough to replicate that a few times to make sure).Įdit 2: I feel a bit stupid but at least I've found a fix. When I look into the headset I'm just sitting in the Steam VR home listening to Subnautica Menu music. I mean, imagine getting grabbed by a reaper in VR Anyway, whenever I launch Subnautica in VR it just opens up on my computer screen like normal, but routes the sound through the vive. When this happens I can't close the process in task manager, I have to restart to get rid of it. Trying to play with Subnautica VR because that sounds like it'd be cool, and slightly freaky as all hell. I've left it hanging for about 30 minutes to make sure it won't load. You should be able to find information about the sound card vendor in the Windows Device Manager.

Please try to find a sound card driver update on the vendor’s site. It pretty much broke after one update, and ever since it's been like this. A good indication of a sound driver issue is when it crashes before the main menu shows up. See if something else is using the port ( netstat -oa, or TCPView ).

If it works, then you need to configure them correctly for this mod to work.
